“Traversées” is a visual circuit, without words, created from snatches of text from “Seuils” (Thresholds) by Patrick Kermann, a stroll in the night under the guidance of a passeur, a figure in search of its identity.

Chiaroscuro: the doors open, seven thresholds show up, seven stages of light where are played successive scenes belonging to the in-between: narrow pass between inside and outside, being and seeming, presence and absence, life and death...

From a Dennis Cooper Novel.

“Jerk” is an imaginary reconstruction – strange, poetic, funny and somber – of the crimes perpetrated by American serial killer Dean Corll who, with the help of teenagers David Brooks and Wayne Henley, killed more than twenty boys in the state of Texas during the mid-70s.

This show sees David Brooks serving his life sentence. In prison, he learns the art of puppets, which somehow enables him to face up to his responsibility as partner in the crimes. He has written a show that reconstructs the murders committed by Dean Corll, using puppets for all the roles. He performs his show in prison for a class of psychology students from a local university.

An experience of objects manipulation in a baffling adaptation to the scene of “Little Red Riding Hood”. For adults only with solid moral formation. Did you already notice that The Little Red Riding Hood it’s a story that only talks about eating? An appetizing show of objects manipulation (perishables)… Everything starts over the plastic towel of a kitchen, when the vegetables over the table become a forest. Hilarious show, ephemeral like a good meal, but we will remember it after a long time… An hard-core Red Riding Hood…

An orchestra of mechanical machines strikes up a symphony with a completely random score that is new every time.

This is an installation-concert-show created by true gleaners and collectors of sounds.... An orchestra of machines, arranged in a semi-circle on stage, plays out a symphony based on a completely aleatory and always changing score. A big clock activates the machines and provides them with information on how to perform. Two musical mechanics keep the orchestra going…

“I have always been fascinated by the power of concentration developed by babies facing a leaf swaying in the wind: and how from their look absorbed by the movement, we irremediably turn our attention to this instant, an instant of nothingness, of not much, and experience the present, the contemplation.
A precious moment for sharing...”

Language: Without words

This is the story of “Hunger”, set in a city that you cannot leave before it’s put a mark on you. A proud man struggles to break through as a writer. He is in a constant battle between his environment, the salivating monster inside him and the grinding, satanic mills of progress. "Hunger" is a dark, grotesque and provocative performance of human survival and man’s need to express himself. Written by Knut Hamsun in 1890, "Hunger" is widely regarded as one of the first to describe the interior of the human mind, while Hamsun himself is considered one of the founders of the modern novel. In 1920 he won the Nobel Prize for his novel “Growth of the Soil”. However, Hamsun is a highly controversial figure, vilified for his opinions and acts during the Second World War (He gave his Nobel Prize Medal to Goebbels and wrote an obituary for Adolf Hitler), he is also considered one of the greatest Norwegian authors of all time, influencing writers such as Thomas Mann, Arthur Schnitzler, Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.

A biscuit factory made into music. A serenade for mechanical orchestra…

The creation process of “Torn de Nit” (Night Shift) starts around November of 2008 provoked by the dismantling of the production line of a cookie factory. It was clearly a provocation! CaboSanRoque has recycled most of the mechanical components of the machines and converted them into a full automated orchestra (including wind, strings and percussion sections). Pistons, electro valves, pulleys, motors and conveyor belts dedicated to the elaboration of cookies during the last twenty five years come to life again as a reborn factory dedicated now to the production of music.

“Nopeussokeus” is a groundbreaking solo performance depicting the long seconds when a body and a machine collide. It seeks interfaces between cinema and stage magic by creating on a theater stage scenes, that we are accustomed to seeing only in still pictures or in a film in slow motion. Speed Blindness gives the viewer a new perspective on how magic tricks and magic in general are performed and creates a hypnotic tension with its mixture of magic and visual arts. “Nopeussokeus” is new magic.

Le "Polichineur d’Écritoire"(Richard) is a teacher of Literature. Over the course of three grueling chapters, you will devour Shakespeare’s famous plays Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Richard III through delicious puppets and bizarre object theatre.

Hamlet is performed with torn paper, Romeo & Juliet with clothes, Richard III with a pork joint. A funny, impertinent and disrespectful lesson full of brilliant humor by Stéphane Georis.

A duet for a city that is not there...

Under a virtual sky, a man and a woman sit at the table and engage with the idea of an ancient city... This invisible city turns into a cabinet of wonders that the performers of this dance carry at the trays of their bodies.
Madalena Victorino, once again, mixes objects and dance in a beautiful and sensitive way.

No one has ever seen such a fun adaptation of this opera. The actors are the puppets made of papier-mache and plush which get hold of the text remaining faithful to it, while the singer changes the tessitura of his voice (from soprano to low) in a frenzied rhythm. On stage, musicians are sited on both sides of a glass frame in which Vogt and Torbahn play with puppets. The scene is filmed and projected via video camera on a giant screen above the stage. A never seen before mix of puppets, video and opera...

"L’Immédiate" is a surprising combination of new circus, dance and theatre. In this formidable masterpiece, six characters try to find their way on a stage covered with hundreds of large and small objects. As they advance, literally everything collapses around them in an incredible cascade of catastrophes. A disturbing, yet hilarious view on a world on the brink of disaster.
