A Flip Book Workshop led by Com Amoras.
A flip book is a book with a series of pictures that vary gradually from one page to the next, so that when the pages are turned rapidly, the pictures appear to animate by simulating motion or some other change. The Flip Books were very popular in the eighteenth and nineteenth century, but they are still produced today.
This project was born in 2010 when Sofia Magalhães and Margarida Fernandes decided to work together. Individually, these two young artists work with ceramic and in several projects in the fields of cinema, video or music.

The Boogies are creatures from the 'Planet Boogie', created by Teatro de Ferro for the show “Blurp”. Since then, they have returned to planet Earth and performed in several contexts.
First, the puppeteer's apprentice recognizes the properties of the body/matter of the Boogie. Next, he learns a few manipulation techniques that allow him to make his Boogie walk, run, jump, look ... Later, when he meets again with the Boogies, they develop their particular form of communication and together they dance Boogie way. At the end, the puppeteer's apprentice takes his Boogie home.
